"Group of Death"

Group B

Prediction

1. Germany
2. Holland
3. Portugal
4. Denmark

Germany - FIFA Ranking - 2

Germany looked weak for a lack of a better word against Switzerland last week in a friendly.  However, they were without the core of there squad.  The fire power of Germany is too much to overlook.  With strikers such as Mario Gomez, Lukas Podolski and Miroslav Klose the appearance and goals are a plenty.  The youthful midfield anchored by Bastion Schweinsteiger is filled with players such as Thomas Mueller, Mesut Ozil, Mario Gotze, Toni Kroos and starlet Marco Rues just to name a few.  The Germans look poised to make a deep run into the later stages of the competition.

Holland - FIFA Ranking - 4

Still recovering from the World Cup Final defeat, the Dutch have quite the squad.  The biggest strength may turn out to be the largest problem.  Robin Van Persie and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar are two of the best forwards football has to offer.  If gaffer Bert van Marwijk can fit both players into the picture they could do some serious damage.  Along with international standouts Wesley Snejder, Rafael Van der Vaart and last but not least Arjen Robben, the speed and skill is on overload.

Portugal - FIFA Ranking - 5

Will this be the year Ronaldo puts Portugal on his back?  His outstanding season was overshadowed by Messi's record breaking goal tally of 73.  Portugal's seem is hard to overlook, I do not believe they have the depth to make this year a successful one.

Denmark - FIFA Ranking - 10

I personally love Denmark.  This year's side is filled with young, exciting players such as Christian Eriksen (20, Ajax) Nicklas Bendtner (24, Sunderland) Simon Kjaer (23, AS Roma) and Kasper Schmeichel (25, Leicester City).  If it wasn't for the rough pool, I would have pinned them to advance.

*Player to Watch*

Miroslav Klose - Germany, Striker - 33

Even at 33, Klose has become one of the most reliable goal scores on the international level.  His impressive record of 63 goals in 116 appearances is something of an anomaly.  With the ability to score at any time look for him to give Germany much needed goals at will.

Summer Transfer Window 2015 - Premier League Signings To Watch

Here is the link to a downloadable list of all the EPL Transfer so far The 2015 Barclays Premier League summer transfer window is in full swing. With the September 1st deadline slowly moving closer, here are some of the best signings so far... Gerard Deulofeu - Winger - 21 years old     Transfer:   FC Barcelona   ->  Everton  Transfer Fee : 4.2 Million Euros  Deulofeu has blinding pace.  His return to Merseyside will be much welcomed after being loaned to the club in 2013-14.  During his first stay he appeared 25 times, tallying 3 goals.  Sidelined due to injury the flashes of brilliance he displayed when healthy was enough for boss Roberto Martinez to complete this permit transfer without hesitation. In my opinion this may end up being the steal of the transfer window.  If he can stay healthy, the combination of his and Kevin Mirallas speed could easily translate into explosive seasons for the pair.  The luxury...

Onward To Villa Park - Manchester United vs. Aston Villa Preview

Tottenham…In Short Manchester United topped Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford, kicking off the season with a 1-0 victory.   The lone goal came courtesy of Tottenham as Kyle Walker was "credited" with the bizarre own goal.   United got the result, regardless of how, which is the most important take away. New arrivals Matteo Darmain, Memphis Depay, Morgan Schneiderlin, Bastion Schweinsteiger and Sergio Romero all saw action as the high profile signs looked like solid additions. Romero stole the show, making crucial stops in the later stages of the match.   Schneiderlin played well aside Michael Carrick, with the pair combining for a pass completion average of 91.55%.   Memphis and Darmain also had strong performances for United, completing 86.2% and 86.1% respectively in their first starts for United.   In a match that did not see Marouane Fellaini (suspended), Marcos Rojo (rest?) David de Gea and Victor Valdes not suite up…signs moving forward s...
