England - FIFA Ranking - 6


  If they can get good performances out of keeper Joe Hart and starlet Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain they should advance.  I pick this year as the first time they do not disappoint, with Hodgson at the helm we may see better form.


Sweden - FIFA Ranking - 17


   The keys for Sweden's success lies within the player of star man Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Sunderland playmaker Sebastian Larsson.  I give them my vote of confidence to progress over France.  Somewhat of a bold call, yet the Euro's hold many twists and turns.

France - FIFA Ranking - 14

  France is very good.  This time around I believe they can't win.  I have not seen enough to make me really think this squad has the power to take the group by storm.

Ukraine - FIFA Ranking - 52 


  Co-hosts, they will play extremely motivated.  With national greats Andriy Shevchenko and Andriy Voronin, can they produce shock results?  I say nope.

European Heavyweights Faceoff in Audi Cup

The 2015 Audi Cup is right around the corner as the European football pre-season is now in full swing.   This two-day biennial competition, hosted by Bayern Munich, features all matches being held at their home ground the Allianz Arena. Play will kick off on August 4 th . Match play opens with La Liga giants Real Madrid taking on English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur at 12:45 p.m. ET.   The second match of the day will feature reigning Bundesliga and Audi Cup tournament titleholders Bayern Munich and Serie A side AC Milan at 2:45 p.m. ET.   The winners will then face each other in the final on August 5 th at 2:45 with the third place match being held prior at 12:45. Group A  Prediction 1. Czech Republic 2. Russia                  3. Poland                 4. Greece Czech Republic - FIFA Ranking - 26      With one of the best and in best form keepers, the "Cech-Republic", will need Petr Cech preforming at his best in order to progress.  Another key to the success of the Czech side will be the play of Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky and Bordeaux skipper Jaroslav Plasil.  Both are highly talented and experienced, combined with over 150 international appearances, the play and leadership abilities of the pair could help them slide through the group easily .
