Summer Transfer Targets: Top 3 Goalies

Maarten Stekelenburg - AS Roma

International Caps - 54
Stekelenburg was dubbed the replacement for longtime international shot stopper Edwin van der Sar.  His transfer to AS Roma from Ajax in 2011 seemed to be the next positive step in his career.  However, after an injury plagued 2 seasons with the Serie A side, the time maybe right for a move.  Coupled with him losing the starting role to Mauro Goicoechea, it would seem logical for him to seek playing time elsewhere.

Standing at 6'5, Stekelenburg has proven on the international stage he can compete with the best.  His positioning is questionable at times but his physical attributes make up for his occasional mistakes.  Regardless of his club set backs, he has retained the role starting on the international level.

Transfer Possibilities: Fulham, PSV, Valenica
Prediction: Fulham - Boss Martin Jol was quoted by De Telegraaf, " We'll need a new one for next season," all signs point to Stekelenburg.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen - Borussia Monchengladbach

Stegen is the favored choice for Barcelona to acquire this summer.  With Victor Valdes declaring he will not be resigning, Stegen's performances this season make him the likely candidate to be the next big Barcelona goalkeeper.

Coupled with is recent close ups to the German National team, his near future looks extremely bright.

Transfer Possibilities: Barcelona
Prediction: Barcelona - Marc-Andre should be headed to replace Victor Valdes this summer.  If he does not, look no further than the player below for there next choice.

Bernd Leno - Bayern Leverkusen

As Bayern Leverkusen's number 1 keeper, the 21 year old, has been impressing on lookers for the past year.  Leno made 40 appearances for the German club this past season.  He has yet to made his international debut but is poised to get his chance soon.

Leno's biggest upside is his age.  Being young, he many years left between the pipes.  However, he has pledged his loyalty to Leverkusen, this is a bolder transfer prediction.

Transfer Possibilities: Barcelona
Prediction: None or Barcelona - Leno is under contract and happy at Bayern Leverkusen.  There has been to major talk of this transfer however Barcelona have been showing interest in multiple German goalkeepers.  If the other choices are unavailable, Leno would be a practical replacement for Victor Valdes.

RVP

RVP looks set to sign with Manchester United.  After losing the race to sign Lucas Moura, all eyes are fixed on signing the Arsenal front man.   After more comments from Roberto Mancini as well as Wayne Rooney , the Dutchman is poised to make the move this weekend or early next week.  My sources also have informed me that Lucas Moura had agreed to a transfer fee only to be hijacked by big spending PSG.  Hopefully, as a United fan, RVP will be signed by the start of next week Would be a fantastic addition to United
