EPL Bound? Top 5 Players Who Should Make The January Jump

5. Lewis Holtby - Schalke 04 Possible Transfer - Liverpool, Tottenham 22 year old attacking midfielder The exciting youngster can play as a traditional attacking midfielder or as supporting player for a forward.  He looks a prime candiate to replace Steven Gerrard.  His creative play and ability to play multiple positions in a 4-4-2 diamond could be useful considering Liverpools attacking wide options.  In the mix with Stuart Downing and Raheem Sterling, Holtby could learn the trick of the trade from Steven Gerrard who eventually will need to be replaced.  Signs point at an exist from Schalke since he has refuse to sign a new contract with his German club.  Although do not count out Tottenham who have joined the race to sign him.  He would fit well in the attacking role of Spurs even though they have a surplus of attacking midfield options. 4.
