Player Analysis

Oscar Club: Chelsea Nationality: Brazil Age: 20 Position: Midfield "Midfield Wiz Kid", step aside Neymar    Oscar has been lighting up not just the transfer market news but also the Olympic's.  His phenomenal ability to change his pace on a dime along side his superb foot skills, the 20 year old, has all the tools to impress the EPl this season.  Even with my hatred of Chelsea F.C. he looks to be a great signing.  His major battle will be with his ability to adapt to the physical play of the English Premier League.  In his native country of Brazil the play is more open which helps showcase his technical skill.  Thus giving him more time on the ball to create while avoiding much contact.  Changing his style with the hard defense and sometimes over aggressive play by lesser technical clubs could pose a road block in his success.   My favorite part of his game however, is his work ethic.  Although the talent pool of the Olympic's is not as high as the EPL'

Major League Soccer is a work in progress.  Last week, the MLS All-Stars emerged victorious over Champions League titleholders Chelsea.  This appears to be one of the first steps in the right direction for the league.   A friend asked me a question yesterday, which forced me to rely with an honest response.  The question was one that most fans have asked, where would a top MLS side finish in the EPL?  Being realistic the two leagues are still on opposite ends of the professional football spectrum.  Major League Soccer however, has been able to recruit the likes of Tim Cahill, Thierry Henry, Kris Boyd and of course golden boy David Beckham.  Though these players are entering or are in the later years of decorated playing careers although it seems to be starting a new movement of importation vs. exportation. Younger players of high caliber will still be dragged away by the bright lights of the European football stage, which hurts the league in the long run.  Examples such as

Transfer News

Transfer you should know about....... Claudio Yacob - Racing Club to West Brom Albion Interational Caps (3) - Argentina The 25 year Argentine has moved from Argentine club Racing to West Brom on a free transfer.  He is creative, physical and has a good sense of on field vision.  This move has taken the back seat but look for him to excel in the defensive midfield role sitting behind the like of Chris Brunt and Jerome Thomas.  This addition is a positive and a needed one for the Baggies who finished with a -7 goal difference. Hugo Rodallega - Wigan to Fulham Rodallega's move to Fulham looks to be a large hint at the possible departure of American standout and fan favorite Clint Dempsey.  Hugo made 112 for Wigan scoring 24 goals of the course of 2009-2012.  His play compliments Fulham's style which will allow them to use Moussa Dembele in a freer role than in the past year.  Rodallega will be paired along side the recent signee and Croatian internation

Latest transfer news....... Loic Remy Linked To - Newcastle, Arsenal, Tottenham Prediction - Remy is a very talented forward.  His speed and nose for goal seems to have him on the rise.  After a solid domestic campaign at French outfit Marseille, he has been a linked with an EPL move.  Newcastle has placed a formal bid, I believe he will end up along side Bemba Ba in a Newcastle kit.  This would give them quite a powerful strike force. Notable Signings Geoff Cameron - Houston Dynamo to Stoke City - Medical exam will take place this week Oscar - Internacional to Chelsea - Around 25 million, Chelsea have added another strong midfielder Santi Cazorla - Malaga to Arsenal - Agreed to terms, transfer fee to be decided this week Robert Snodgrass - Leeds United to Norwich City - Fee believed to be around 3 million

Latest reports..... Robin Van Persie - * UPDATE * - As yesterday I posted, RVP has been linked with making summer transfer headlines.  The race seems to be heating up with Robin announcing his desire for a "10 million dollar a year" wage price.  According to reports, Manchester United seem to be leading the charge as Alex Ferguson has been backed by the United board to spend this summer.  This along with reports from a source has also favored United as RVP has stated he woud prefer to join Manchester United over Manchester City or Juventus.  Coupled with Van Persie being ordered to miss out on the Arsenal pre season tour of America, all signs point to an exit. Hugo Lloris  Linked To - Tottenham Prediction   - Tottenham have always been fond of the French shot stopper.  It is speculated that Lyon are holding out for a bid around the 18 million dollar mark after Spur's bid around 13 million was rejected.  With a chance to put more p
